The Munimed Medical scheme has recently amalgamated with Global Health to form Key Health, perhaps the major provider of medical aid at local government level as well as one of the largest in the open market.
Munimed and Global Health chose to combine operations, they say, as they were both major players in the same sector of medical insurance and by joining they created a larger risk pool, resulting in a more stable financial situation which translates to more stable annual contributions.
